No matter what you’re facing, it’s temporary. Don’t take your life - Nigerian man shares words of encouragement 11 years after he almost committed su!cide
A Nigerian man, Ekpo Bassey Belano, has opened up about how he almost took his own life eleven years ago

The father of one who disclosed this in a post on Sunday, May 18, 2025 revealed that he became su!cidal while battling gambling addiction and drowning in debt.
According to Ekpo, during his dark phase in life, suicide felt like an escape as his girlfriend, family and friends distanced from him.
“Eleven years ago, su!cide felt like my only escape. I had 2 extra years, was drowning in debt and gambling addiction, my girlfriend and friends had left, and family had distanced themselves,” he wrote.
"Then I listened to a Myles Munroe tape that transformed my life. He said, “Never apply a permanent solution to a temporary problem.” He also said, “Life is a fight for territory. Whatever you want, your finances, relationships, career, or health, you must fight for it. Keep fighting until you get it right.”
“No matter what you’re facing, it’s temporary. Don’t take your life, no matter how bad it seems. Keep fighting consciously, work on yourself, and prepare for opportunities that will break the chains of mediocrity. Above all, I wish you prosperity and a flourishing soul!.”
