Real Madrid ready to let 7 players leave this summer

After being eliminated by Arsenal in the Champions League quarterfinals and suffering losses to Barcelona in both the Copa del Rey and Supercopa de España finals, Los Blancos find themselves seven points behind the league leaders, albeit with one match in hand.

The club, according to Fichajes, is reportedly preparing to part ways with several experienced players in an effort to return to winning form. Lucas Vázquez and Luka Modric are expected to leave once their contracts expire. Modric, a key figure for many years, appears to be nearing the end of his storied Madrid career.

Jesus Vallejo, who has failed to make a mark in the first team, is also on his way out. Injury-prone defender David Alaba may be sold if offers arrive, while Rodrygo Goes, whose minutes have been reduced since the arrival of Kylian Mbappé, might be put on the transfer list. Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia are also at risk of being offloaded, though both players are reportedly reluctant to leave the club.
