Iranian Media Claims First Country in History to Defeat Israel and U.S. Together

 According to the BBC News, Iranian state media has made bold claims asserting that the Islamic Republic has become “the first country in history to defeat both Israel and the United States together,” amid heightened regional tensions and recent escalations involving Iranian-backed groups.

The statement, published by the semi-official Fars News Agency, comes after a series of missile and drone attacks attributed to Iran and its proxies targeting Israeli territory, as well as reported cyber and military confrontations involving U.S. forces in the region.

The report emphasized Iran’s growing military capabilities and strategic alliances with regional actors such as Hezbollah in Lebanon, Houthis in Yemen, and Shia militias in Iraq, framing them as key factors in what it describes as a symbolic and strategic victory over Washington and Tel Aviv.

“The resistance axis led by Iran has proven that even the most powerful military alliance in the world — the U.S.-Israel axis — can be challenged and defeated,” read part of the article, which was widely shared on Iranian state-affiliated platforms.

Western analysts, however, caution that such rhetoric should be viewed through the lens of propaganda and domestic political messaging, rather than as a reflection of actual battlefield outcomes.

Tensions between Iran, Israel, and the U.S. have spiked in recent months following Israel’s assassination of senior Hezbollah and Hamas figures, and Iran's retaliatory strikes on Israeli soil using ballistic missiles.

While Iran denies direct involvement in regional attacks, U.S. and Israeli intelligence sources continue to accuse Tehran of orchestrating proxy warfare across the Middle East.

The claim by Iranian media underscores the Islamic Republic’s aggressive posturing as it seeks to assert itself as a dominant force in the region, despite facing heavy international sanctions and diplomatic isolation.
