Mbappé sues PSG for forcing him to sign a new contract

According to SPORT, Kylian Mbappé has reportedly initiated legal action against his former club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), alleging "attempted extortion" in a dispute stemming from his final year with the French giants.

The lawsuit claims PSG attempted to force the star forward into signing a new contract in 2023, even going so far as to prohibit him from training with the first team.

The sensational news comes from Agence France-Presse (AFP), which stated, "Kylian Mbappé has filed a lawsuit against PSG for ATTEMPTED EXTORTION, as they tried to force him to sign a new contract in 2023, prohibiting him from training with the team."

This significant development has reportedly been "confirmed by more media outlets in France," indicating a credible legal challenge from the newly signed Real Madrid player

The legal battle unfolds amidst a separate financial disagreement between Mbappé and PSG concerning a portion of his salary from the recently concluded season.

While the Parisian club contends that the player "forgave them that amount when leaving as a free agent," it appears there is "no document that can confirm it," leading to the escalating legal conflict.

The separation between Mbappé and PSG has been notoriously complex for years. The striker had long sought a departure, with "something strange" reportedly occurring in 2022 that remains unexplained.

The situation became even more "surreal" in 2023, when PSG "refused to sell him to Madrid on favorable terms and had him without training" during the preseason, all seemingly in an effort to compel him into a new deal.

Mbappé is reportedly resolute in his conviction that he is acting correctly in this dispute, aiming "to defend his rights."

Despite his deep affection for Paris Saint-Germain and its supporters, acknowledging his gratitude for "the opportunity and the affection they gave him," sources indicate that "there are people at the club who treated him very badly and at no time thought of him and his family."

In stark contrast, the player is said to have experienced "exemplary behavior from the first moment" from the "Madrid entity," who have been "faithful to their lordship.
