My First Million Was Painful. I Got It In 200k, 250k, 400k. It Took Away The Joy Of Getting It–Alade

 Yemi Alade has recounted the "painful" story of earning her first million naira, a moment that was less joyful than she had expected. She explained that because the money was paid to her in small increments, it took away the excitement of the achievement.

According to a video from the VJ Adams TV podcast Off The Top, she received the million in bits of ₦200,000 and ₦250,000, which made her feel like she was spending borrowed money. While she is still thankful for the opportunity, she learned a valuable lesson about how blessings can sometimes come in unexpected pieces.

Yemi Alade said, “My first million was painful. Do you know why? Because they cut it in pieces. They gave me in bits. I was supposed to get the 1 million, but I got it in bits. I got it in 200k, 250k, 400k, and all the rest. So that just really took away the joy of 1 Million. And I was now spending like I borrowed money. It was not sweet. But that was my first 1 Million, and I thank God still for that opportunity”.
