Bayern Munich Sends Message to Nicolas Jackson After Refusing to Return to Chelsea
According to a report by METRO Sport, Bayern Munich have directed Nicolas Jackson to return to Chelsea following the collapse of his proposed loan switch on Saturday.
Jackson had even travelled to Munich to finalise the agreement.
However, the situation changed after Liam Delap sustained a hamstring injury during Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Fulham earlier in the day.
Manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that Delap is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks, leaving Joao Pedro as the only fit striker in the squad.
As a result, Chelsea decided to withdraw Jackson’s loan and instructed him to return to London.
Reports indicate that the player was unhappy with the decision and chose to remain in Germany on Saturday.
Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, explained that despite an agreement being reached, the absence of a signed contract meant the deal could not proceed.
He confirmed that Jackson and his representatives have been told to go back to London, adding that Bayern will now reassess their options before the transfer window closes.
