Mark Warren, a retired fire inspector, received a brand-new Ural Gear Up motorcycle as a gift from the Russian government.

Warren had previously been interviewed by a Russian television crew after they spotted him riding his older Ural motorcycle around Anchorage. During the interview, he mentioned the difficulty of finding parts due to supply challenges. The clip went viral in Russia, leading to the surprising gesture.

Two days before the summit, Warren was informed of the gift and initially suspected it might be a scam. However, after the leaders’ meeting concluded, he was directed to an Anchorage hotel where he found the olive-green motorcycle waiting—valued at $22,000. Russian officials took photos and recorded a short interview with him before completing the handover.

Despite his excitement, Warren expressed concern about how others might perceive the gesture, emphasizing that he had no involvement in politics and was simply the recipient of an unexpected surprise. The motorcycle had been manufactured just a day before it was flown to Alaska for delivery.
