Presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, has berated former Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over his promise to serve one term in office if elected as President of Nigeria.
Obi had in a statement released on Sunday, August 3, dismissed the skepticism of Charles Soludo and others over his promise to serve one term if elected.
He argued that longevity in office is not the yardstick for success of any administration. He went on to list several world leaders including Mandela, Lincoln and others who served for just one term but make remarkable impact during and after they left office.
Reacting to Obi's statement, Onanuga via his X handle said that Obi is not any of these former world leaders and that he has broken his promises previously even while serving as Governor of Anambra state.
