Hilda Baci Moves Biggest Jollof Rice Cookout To Eko Hotel After Over 20,000 Signed Up To Attend

Popular Nigerian chef and Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci (@hildabaci) has announced a venue change for her historic attempt to cook the biggest pot of Nigerian jollof rice

In a recent Instagram video, Hilda explained that the initial venue, Muri Okunola Park, could only take about 3,000 to 3,500 guests. However, after she opened free registration for people who wanted to attend the cookout, more than 20,000 signed up, reflecting the huge level of interest in the event. This massive response made it clear that the original location could not contain the expected crowd.

To accommodate the demand, Hilda confirmed that the cookout will now take place at Eko Hotel & Suites on Friday, September 12th, from 9 AM. She described the love from Nigerians and fans abroad as heartwarming, noting that moving to a bigger venue would allow more people to be part of the historic experience.




She further reassured her supporters that even those who cannot attend in person will be able to follow the event virtually on multiple social media platforms. With this adjustment, Hilda Baci is set to pursue her record-breaking dream on a larger stage, turning the cookout into a global celebration of jollof rice.
