the Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and other agencies under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) have officially announced the commencement date for their computer-based recruitment test.
The recruitment examination, which marks a major phase in the 2025 nationwide recruitment exercise, is scheduled to hold across designated centres in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The CDCFIB said all eligible applicants would receive official invitations containing details of their examination date, time, and venue through email and SMS notifications.
Applicants who applied for positions within the participating agencies are advised to log into the official CDCFIB recruitment portal to confirm their eligibility and print out their examination slips ahead of the test. The board warned candidates against visiting unauthorized websites or engaging third-party agents, noting that all updates will be provided exclusively on the verified government recruitment platform.
According to the board, the computer-based test (CBT) will evaluate applicants’ general knowledge, numerical reasoning, communication skills, and professional competence. Candidates are expected to arrive early at their test centres with valid identification cards and their invitation slips for proper verification before being allowed entry.
The CDCFIB emphasized that the exercise aims to promote transparency, efficiency, and merit-based recruitment into the paramilitary services. It further stated that only candidates who meet the required standards and pass all stages of the selection process will be shortlisted for training and eventual employment.
The board also disclosed that adequate security arrangements have been made in all test locations to ensure a peaceful and fair examination process. Candidates were encouraged to conduct themselves in an orderly manner and avoid any act capable of undermining the integrity of the recruitment exercise.
The ongoing recruitment drive is part of the federal government’s efforts to strengthen the nation’s internal security architecture and enhance public safety through improved manpower development in emergency response and paramilitary services.
