Nigerian artist Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, is under criticism following the announcement of a ₦300,000 ticket price for his Lagos homecoming concert.
Reports from Naija News indicate that the ticket pricing, which circulated online, sparked strong reactions from fans who felt the cost was too high for a local event.
Many social media users expressed frustration, saying the fee makes it difficult for regular fans to attend.
Concert promoters explained that the pricing reflects production and service expenses, noting that VIP tickets include additional perks.
Despite this explanation, critics argue that the pricing strategy excludes the fans who supported Asake from the beginning of his career.
Some fan groups have even suggested boycotting the event unless more affordable ticket options are made available.
