I”m Not Saying We Should Not Be Criticized But Rufai Doesn’t See Anything Good In Our Govt’ – Umahi

Minister of Works, David Nweze Umahi, has responded to criticisms of the government, asserting that while constructive feedback is welcome, some commentators focus only on the negatives. Speaking at a press conference reported by Symfoni TV, Umahi highlighted what he sees as a biased approach by certain critics toward the administration.

He said, “I’m not saying we should not be criticized, but Rufai doesn’t see anything good in our government,” stressing that while accountability and critique are essential in a democracy, fair assessment should also acknowledge achievements and progress.

Umahi further emphasized that the administration remains committed to transparency, good governance, and inclusive development, noting that negative commentary should not overshadow the government’s efforts in driving socio-economic growth and infrastructural projects. He called on citizens and media practitioners to provide balanced perspectives that reflect both successes and areas needing improvement, underscoring the importance of fairness in public discourse.
