Nigerian media personality Priscilla Ojo has spoken about the age gap between herself and her husband, Tanzanian musician Juma Jux.
In an interview with Pulse NG, Priscilla Ojo explained that the difference in their ages is not something that bothers her, even though many people online keep bringing it up.
The influencer, who is the daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, confirmed that she is 24 while Juma Jux is 35.
Priscilla said she does not judge their relationship based on numbers, but on how they connect.
She said that what matters most to her is the emotional bond they share, how well they understand each other, and how they relate on a deeper level.
“This age thing… to be honest, I feel like age is just a number,” she said, adding that as long as the gap is not extreme, it should not become an issue.
She also revealed that when she first met Juma Jux, she didn’t even think about how old he was.
“When I met him, I didn’t even know he was his age. He looked very young. He dressed very nice and carried himself with so much style,” Priscilla said
Priscilla said that as their relationship grew, she stopped thinking about age entirely and focused more on the connection they shared.
The influencer added that people are often surprised by their personalities because they don’t behave the way society expects people their ages to act.
According to her, ahe is often told she seems more mature than 24, while Juma Jux is relaxed, playful, and enjoys having fun.
“I don’t act like I’m 24. People always say I’m very mature. He doesn’t act like he’s 35 either,” she explained.
She said they like making TikTok videos together and enjoy each other’s company like close friends, not like a couple others see as far apart in age.
Even though people on social media still talk about the age difference, Priscilla said their opinions do not affect her happiness.
“I don’t really see the age difference as a problem, the way some of you say it though,” she added.
