The prize money for Barcelona and Real Madrid following the conclusion of this year’s Spanish Super Cup on Sunday has been revealed.
Recall that Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3-2 to win this year’s Spanish Super Cup in Jeddah.
A brace from Raphinha and a goal from Robert Lewandowski gave Hansi Flick’s men the victory against the Los Blancos.
However, according to AS, the Royal Spanish Football Federation will pay the winners, Barcelona, €2 million for winning the trophy.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, will receive €1.4 million for finishing as runner‑up.
Meanwhile, both the Barcelona and Real Madrid squads will now return to Spain and turn their attention to the LaLiga.
Barcelona currently sits at the top of the LaLiga table with four points ahead of second-place Real Madrid.
