In an emotional moment, renowned music producer DJ Khaled shares his experience as he performed Umrah in Mecca for the first time, accompanied by boxing legend Mike Tyson.
The Palestinian-American artist, known for his larger-than-life personality and hits like “God Did,” shared the emotional video from the sacred Masjid al-Haram.
As he approached the Kaaba, tears streamed down his face which he called tears of pure joy and gratitude. “The second I walked in Mecca tears came down my eyes. Tears of joy… my whole life I wanted to go to MECCA TO PRAY AND TO GIVE MY GRATITUDE TO ALLAH,” he captioned the post.
DJ Khaled described the pilgrimage as the “most beautiful experience” of his life, performed side by side with his “brother” Mike Tyson and Tyson’s father. Dressed in simple Ihram garments, they all walked round the Kaaba, prayed, as they reflected in the spiritual sanctuary. Khaled prayed for global peace, love, health, and protection for all humanity, emphasizing unity: “We all ONE LOVE here… GOD IS THE GREATEST!”
