I'm A Hausa Girl Because I Grew Up In Kaduna,My Husband Is Half Igbo &Half Edo,I'm From Ondo—Omotola

 

Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde recently opened up about her rich Nigerian heritage in an interview with Yanga FM Nigeria. Though born to a mother from Ogun State and a father from Ondo State, Omotola says she identifies as a Hausa girl because she grew up in Kaduna, in northern Nigeria.

She also shared that her husband is of mixed heritage—half Igbo and half Edo—reflecting the beautiful diversity within her family. Omotola proudly describes herself as a true Nigerian, embracing her roots from different parts of the country.

In her own words, “I am a Hausa girl normally, I grew up in Kaduna in the north. So all my northern people I love you all very well. My mother is from Ogun State, then I am an Ondo girl. My husband is half Igbo and Edo. I am a total Nigerian.”
