People Who Destroyed This Country From 1999 To 2015 And 2015 To 2023 Are All In The ADC – Shehu Sani

Former Senator Shehu Sani took direct aim at the African Democratic Congress, the opposition party that has attracted many prominent figures from both the PDP and the APC era, describing it as a coalition of the very same political actors who presided over Nigeria's decay under both the PDP administration from 1999 to 2015 and the APC administration from 2015 to 2023.

He argued that the ADC, far from representing a genuine new beginning for Nigerian politics, is essentially an assembly of the architects, engineers, and authors of the country's ongoing dysfunction, people who took turns at the controls of government and drove the country into the ground before repositioning themselves under a new party banner to offer themselves again as saviours.

According to Shehu Sani, the Nigerian political system is caught in a circular trap where the same individuals rotate between different parties, use whatever vehicle is most electorally convenient at the time, and consistently deliver the same outcome for the masses of the Nigerian people because their philosophical and ideological orientation has never changed. He said Nigeria's only realistic path forward is to hold whoever is in power accountable for the specific promises they make and the reforms they have committed to see through.

Shehu Sani said: "Who are the opposition in Nigeria? We call them the ADC. If you are looking for people who destroyed this country from 1999 to 2015, they are in the ADC. If you are looking for people who destroyed Nigeria from 2015 to 2023, they are in the ADC. If you are looking for people who participated in the first semester and second semester of the destruction of this country, they are all in the ADC. Ideologically and philosophically they are all the same. They just have different acronyms."
