Former lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani, has obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms as he seeks a return to the Senate in 2027.
Sani picked up the forms in Kaduna State on Tuesday ahead of the party’s primary elections.
The 58-year-old politician previously represented Kaduna Central after winning the 2015 senatorial election.
A known human rights activist, he has remained a strong voice in Nigeria’s political space, contributing to key national conversations.
His latest move is expected to influence the race in the district, given his grassroots support and political experience.
According to reports, APC primary elections are scheduled to begin on May 15, 2026, starting with the House of Representatives, followed by the Senate.
