Following her stunning appearance at a recent movie premiere, Funke Akindele has disclosed exactly what happens to her glamorous outfits once the cameras stop flashing.
According to a recent video by Morayo Afolabi Brown, the award-winning producer explained that she does not hoard her beautiful clothes indefinitely. Instead, she gives them a second life on screen.
“The clothes are at home. Sometimes in the movies I want to shoot, maybe the next production, I just give them to one of the cast,” she revealed. The interviewer had wondered how celebrities sustain and keep up with their expensive wardrobes.
Akindele confirmed there is a large collection, adding simply, “There’s a lot.” The filmmaker’s practical approach not only reduces waste but also adds authenticity to her productions.
By recycling her premiere outfits into her films, Akindele ensures her stunning looks continue to serve a purpose, dressing her actors in real, high-quality pieces that might otherwise remain unused in her closet.
