
Yoruba nation agitator Sunday Igboho has revealed that his newly launched “Iru Ekun” security network received approval from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu before its establishment, as he called on Yoruba communities to unite against criminal activities in forests across the South-West.
Speaking in a viral video, Igboho described the security outfit as a registered network created to support efforts against insecurity, particularly kidnapping and violent crimes linked to forest hideouts
According to him, consultations were held with the presidency before the initiative was unveiled, adding that the organisation was set up to complement local security efforts in protecting communities.
