The Switzerland Football Association has revealed unusual details about the official training and accommodation site for the national team as they prepare for the 2026 World Cup in the United States.

According to an official map released by the Swiss team, their base is located at the Jewish Academy in San Diego, California. The facilities include a prominently marked section labeled as a “snake area,” serving as a warning to players and staff.
The measure is intended to alert players, coaching staff, and accompanying personnel to the potential presence of snakes within that part of the sports complex and encourage extra caution when moving around the area.

The announcement comes as international teams intensify their preparations for what is expected to be the largest World Cup in history. While the Swiss team focuses on its campaign, players and staff will also have to remain mindful of the unusual environmental challenge at their training base.
Switzerland is among the teams expected to attract significant attention at the tournament, with preparations continuing ahead of their opening matches in North America.
