Arsenal Put Four Players Up For Sale After Champions League Final Defeat

 

Arsenal are prepared to listen to offers for several first-team players this summer as they begin a significant squad rebuild following their Champions League final defeat.

Despite securing their first Premier League title since 2004, Mikel Arteta’s side ended the campaign on a mixed note after losing on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest.

The result denied them a historic double and has accelerated plans for changes ahead of next season.

Club officials have now shifted their full attention to the transfer window, with at least four new signings expected.

Arsenal are targeting reinforcements in attack, midfield and defence, with a striker, left winger, central midfielder and right-back all on the agenda.

As part of that reshaping, a number of established players could depart. Reports suggest Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Jesus and Ben White are among those who may be allowed to leave if suitable offers arrive.

Martinelli, one of Arsenal’s longest-serving players, featured less prominently this season and started only a handful of league matches.

Trossard contributed more consistently, though there remains a belief within the club that an upgrade on the left flank is needed.

White’s campaign was disrupted by injury, limiting his involvement towards the end of the season.

While Jesus has struggled for regular minutes due to recurring fitness issues. His role could diminish further if Arsenal succeed in signing a new striker.

Speaking about the club’s plans, co-chairman Josh Kroenke said: "The business never stops. Other teams are already looking to strengthen, and we have to be ready for that.

"We've had conversations about where we can improve, both on and off the pitch."

He added: "It’s going to be an interesting summer, especially with the World Cup, but we are focused on making the right decisions."

Among the players linked with a move to north London are Julian Alvarez, Morgan Rogers and Eli Junior Kroupi.

As Arsenal aim to build on their domestic success and mount another challenge in Europe next season.
