Ovie Success Ossai, the Senior Special Assistant on media to Delta State Governor, has questioned the decision of social media personalities Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, and Elizabeth Aminata, widely known as Jarvis, to move forward with marriage plans at their current stage in life.
In a post on his Facebook page on Monday, June 22, 2026, Ossai expressed disappointment over the recent family introduction ceremony involving the duo, noting that the relationship may be progressing too quickly toward marriage.
The media aide maintained that marriage requires more than financial success and public admiration, stressing that emotional maturity, understanding and a strong personal bond are essential for a lasting union.
He said that although both content creators have achieved fame and financial stability through their online careers, he remains unconvinced that their relationship has developed the depth required to survive long-term marital pressures.
Ossai further argued that their young age and limited life experience could pose challenges, insisting that important decisions such as marriage should not be rushed.
He also pointed to the differences in age and exposure between the two, suggesting that such factors may influence the stability of the union if not properly addressed.
Ossai wrote, "I don’t see the depth, the maturity, or the kind of love that can sustain marriage when the cameras are off, when money is low, and when pressure comes. Not only is Peller young and marrying at a young age, he’s marrying a woman who’s older than him, more exposed than him."
His comments followed an announcement by Peller that he had paid the bride price of his partner, Jarvis, during a family introduction ceremony involving both families.
The event was made public through a video shared on Peller’s Instagram page on Sunday, showing moments from the gathering where both families came together to mark the occasion.
In the footage, Peller appeared dressed in a white shirt, George wrapper and coral beads, while Jarvis wore a red wrapper complemented with coral accessories and a beaded crown, reflecting traditional cultural attire.
In his post, Peller described the ceremony as the start of a new phase in their relationship and expressed gratitude to both families for their support and blessings as they look forward to building a future together.
