New Barcelona player, Rodri has explained why he left Manchester City to join Barcelona this summer after seven years at the Etihad Stadium.
Rodri officially joined Barcelona from Manchester City in a £65.4 million deal on Tuesday.
Speaking during his unveiling as a new Barcelona player, the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner said it was the right time for him to leave Manchester City after spending seven years at the club.
“Seven years is the right moment to say goodbye, to write a good story,” Rodri said.
“Both parties, the club and the player, are proud of this, and this was the reason for my decision.
“My heart will always be blue all my life. And they will always have Rodri for anything they need,” the Spain international added.
