A Nigerian man has recounted how he discovered that his ex-girlfriend, Stephanie, allegedly used the ₦280,000 he gave her for her birthday to pay another man’s rent.
Speaking during an appearance on Gistandjuice podcast, the man explained that he sacrificed money saved for his 200-level school fees to celebrate Stephanie’s birthday, which came a week before the incident.
According to him, he gave her ₦250,000 from his school fees savings and added ₦30,000 from his monthly allowance, bringing the total to ₦280,000.
Days later, he went to play football with his friend at a five-a-side pitch. After the game, the men began discussing the things their girlfriends had done for them.
During the conversation, one man revealed that his girlfriend had paid his ₦260,000 rent after he faced eviction. The narrator initially doubted the claim until the man showed the group videos of his belongings being moved out of his house.
The man also shared pictures and videos of his girlfriend, leaving the narrator shocked when he allegedly recognised Stephanie as the woman in the footage.
He claimed that the money she used to pay the other man’s rent was the same ₦250,000 he had given her, alongside the ₦30,000 from his allowance.
Reacting to the discovery, the man called out Stephanie and prayed that she would face divine punishment for her actions.
