“They Stopped Talking To Me” – Julius Agwu Breaks Down In Tears, Reveals Friends Abandoned Him After Brain Surgery

 

Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu broke down in tears while recounting how some of his friends allegedly deserted him following his brain surgery and health crisis.

Agwu opened up about his experience while featuring on the Beer Parlour Talk Show in an episode titled “Julius Agwu – Back From The Brink.”

During the conversation, the comedian reflected on his contribution to Nigerian comedy and explained how he coined the term “musicomedy.”

“Of that alleged comedy, na me stay, I stayed and form that coinage,” he said. “That music-com, yes na me form am to tell you how my brain dey think na him make everything.”

Agwu became emotional during the discussion, removed his glasses and repeatedly apologised before appreciating those who supported him through his difficult period.

He later spoke about the people he considered friends, saying many of them stopped communicating with him after his health crisis.

“My friends deserted me,” Agwu said. “This bishop wey they talk now, he was managing me. Collect my money, do everything, then they stop talking to me, many of them, but God no go leave you.”

The hosts consoled the comedian and reminded him of the impact he had made in the entertainment industry, assuring him that his legacy would remain even if he never returned to performing.
