In a recent Instagram story, the artist emphasized that his music isn’t made to sound pretty or polished just for the sake of it.

“I don’t make music for aesthetics,” he wrote. “No be by ‘make e sound fine’. One rule: relatability.”

He went further to stress that even if a song is produced by a relatively unknown talent—like “Segun from Ikorodu”—as long as the message resonates with listeners, that’s what matters most.
