I've Been Living My Life On The Road For 6 Years. I Spent 3 Months In Nigeria Last Year –Yemi Alade

Popular Nigerian singer and global performer, Yemi Alade, has opened up about her demanding travel schedule and the toll it has taken on her time in Nigeria.

Speaking in an interview with VJADAMSTV, the Afro-pop star revealed how her music career has kept her on the move for years, leaving her with little time to enjoy home life in Nigeria.

“Last year and the year before, I just realized that I spent a minimum of 3 months only in Nigeria,” she said.

Yemi explained that even when she visits the country, her stays are extremely brief.

“And I don’t do it in a straight stretch. I might come to the country and stay for 2 or 5 days and I’m out, she added.

The Johnny crooner described her life as one lived constantly on the road.

“I’ve just been living my life on the road for more than 5, 6 years. My address is at the airport. If you’re looking for me, come to the airport,” she joked.

Yemi Alade, known for her electrifying stage presence and global performances, continues to represent African music on international stages.
