Says his concern is that the English young star is needed in Chelsea's upcoming UEFA Champions League match against Spanish giants Barcelona next week.
Didier Drogba said it is not a strange thing for incredible players in any team to be injured and be away for some time, but Cole Palmer's presence is needed against Barcelona because it will definitely be one of the toughest games Chelsea will play in the UEFA Champions League campaign this season.
Drogba noted that, Palmer can make the game a remarkable one for the West London side with his incredible skills and attacking force. He said that Lamine Yamal who also appeared in the last Ballon d'or nominations list, will need to meet Cole Palmer and the two world class attackers could make the match very interesting for fans and supporters from the both sides.
He said " Cole Palmer needs to recover and get fit before Chelsea's match against Barcelona next week. His presence is very crucial to strengthen the Blue's attacking line and make the match uneasy for Barcelona to win."
Didier Drogba also recounted that he does not want the West London side to experience their first loss against the Catalans in the history of the UCL competition.
Previously, even Enzo Maresca had announced in his recent press conference that Cole Palmer got injured again at home after recovering from injury that took him away for too long. So, Drogba's wish for him to appear in Chelsea vs Barca clash next week might finally be impossible.
