Atiku, who once ran for president under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said his wealth comes from different business investments.

Speaking in an interview on Arise News, he said he made money from sectors like oil and gas, logistics, agriculture, real estate, and education before going into politics.

He also said he was already successful in business before joining politics and even helped to set up and fund the PDP.

According to him, he has never been accused of corruption because his sources of wealth are clear and legitimate.

Atiku added that during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, a panel was set up to investigate him. He said members of the panel included Nasir El-Rufai and Nuhu Ribadu.

He said he even gave up his immunity at the time so the investigation could go ahead.

Atiku is currently among those seeking the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 election.
