Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has taken her daughter on a trip to Saudi Arabia as part of the celebrations for her 18th birthday.
The actress shared photos of herself and her daughter at the airport on her instagram page, revealing that they were travelling to the Holy Land for birthday prayers and celebrations.
In the post, Laide expressed gratitude to Allah for the opportunity and thanked Him for everything.
The trip comes shortly after Laide celebrated her daughter’s 18th birthday on September 5. On the occasion, the actress shared a heartfelt message appreciating her daughter for accepting and loving her for who she is.
Laide also posted photos of herself and her daughter dressed in matching outfits. While celebrating her daughter, she encouraged her to remain confident in who she is and never allow anyone or anything to make her question her worth.
As part of the birthday celebrations, Laide revealed that she had given her daughter permission to take over her social media accounts, noting that she was now officially an adult.
The actress and her daughter have previously attracted attention on social media following some of Laide’s posts about their relationship.
Last year, Laide spoke about taking her daughter to a club when she was 17. Her comments generated discussions online, after which she clarified that she took her daughter to the club for exposure and did not introduce her to alcohol.
Laide later reiterated that she had not introduced her daughter to alcohol, maintaining that their outing was simply an opportunity for her daughter to gain some exposure.
