UCL: Why Inter Milan beat us 4-3 – Barcelona manager, Flick
Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick has suggested why his team lost 4-3 against Inter Milan in the Champions League semi-final second leg tie on Tuesday.
Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu gave Inter Milan a 2-0 lead at half time.
In the second half, Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo equalized for the visitors before Raphinha gave Barcelona the lead.
Speaking after the game, Flick said Simeone Inzaghi’s men defended well, adding that they have a really good striker.
The German also labelled Inter Milan as a strong team.
“I am very disappointed that we are out – but I am not disappointed about the performance of my team. They tried everything,” Flick said at his post-match interview.
“We are out, but next year we will start again and we will make our fans, the club and everyone around us happy.
“They [Inter Milan] are a really good team, a strong team who defend well but also they have a really good striker.”
